GEN-O - CLINICAL GENOMICS COLLABORATION PLATFORM
FE dev working on the genomics platform enabling clinicians and scientists to navigate complex patient data and support multidisciplinary care decisions.

Impact
- →Helped replace an error prone paper based assessment process and reduce clinician diagnostic time by over 30% during initial trial
- →Contributed to building a secure collaborative patient record system
- →Supported the development of 'Education Mode' for anonymised clinical teaching use
- →Enabled workflows that support MDT discussions for clinicians, academics, and genetic counsellors
Stack
The Challenge
Clinical genomics involves highly complex and sensitive patient data that must be interpreted collaboratively across multiple roles - clinicians, laboratory scientists, counsellors, and academics. The system needed to visualise dense genetic datasets clearly, maintain strict data governance standards, and support real-world clinical workflows such as MDT (Multidisciplinary Team) discussions.
The Solution
I implemented front-end features including interactive visualisations to help stakeholders interpret genomic findings, contributed to the collaborative patient record interface, and assisted in creating the 'Education Mode' for anonymised teaching cases. My work involved translating design and clinical requirements into usable React components, ensuring accessibility, and integrating with backend APIs.
The Outcome
The platform was successfully deployed and my contributions helped make complex genomic information accessible and actionable for clinical teams.
