The Challenge

As a brand new business, Wild flowers needed a professional web presence quickly, without overcomplicating or over-engineering the solution. The site needed to feel warm and community-led, while also being practical - with working enquiry flows and a session calendar the non-technical founders could manage themselves. There was also pressure to add payment features early, which needed to be assessed carefully against the stage of the business.

The Solution

I built the site using Next.js and React, prioritising a clean and welcoming user experience that reflects the brand's nature-inspired identity. I integrated Resend to handle contact form submissions, ensuring enquiries land directly in the business inbox reliably. The calendar is driven by Google Sheets, giving the founders full control over their schedule through a tool they already use. I advised on keeping the infrastructure simple and cost-effective at this stage, and recommended holding off on payment integrations until session demand and community size justified the added complexity.

The Outcome

The website launched successfully and is live at wildflowerscommunity.uk. The business now has a reliable, maintainable digital presence with automated enquiry handling and a self-serve calendar - all without needing technical knowledge to maintain day-to-day. The advisory relationship is ongoing as the community continues to grow.
